Allow me to implement the vocabulary of the stars. A black hole is the remains of a collapsed star. Its gravitational pull is so strong that no light can escape from it.
It is almost too easy to find black holes in our lives. Because their light isn’t shining, or never shined at all, they feel the need to come into your field of positivity. Once they enter your field of vision, dreams and aspirations its over! They fill your head with doubts, claiming that they’re a realist. Or they wish you the best, but claim that you’re a dreamer. Their gravitational pull is always around. After a conversation with a black hole you feel burdened, uninspired or consumed with the negativity that the black hole emits! In the alignment of stars black holes are the first to go. BE GONE! BYE-BYE!
I consider myself a pulsar, a rapidly spinning neutron star that emits pulses of energy. That’s me! My mind is continuously spinning; with this my actions are steadily produced. I’m at the point in my life where God comes first then ME. If the situation isn’t benefiting or uplifting I chose not to be apart of it. I hold this to be the same with people in my life, if I’m not reaping a benefit or being uplifted from our relationship I will be quickly realigning my stars. I’m choosing not to make life harder than it has to be, and that starts with aligning the people in it.
When you initially here the word “greenhouse” you think leafy and green, plants and soil, you imagine an environmental euphoria. Those are the things I like to associate greenhouse with… and I am 100%, absolutely correct to do so, but with one exception… Greenhouse on the LES, the words “racist”, “bias” and “prejudice” crowd my mind with disbelief.
Greenhouse lounge is located in NYC at 150 Varick street in the east village. Their moniker, “Greenhouse”, may lead one to believe that they are eco-friendly, but my recent experience there proves negro-friendly they are not. Recently I stepped out with a small group of friends, two guys and three girls including myself. To our surprise there was no line at the door, as to what we were initially told, it will be a few minutes before others can be let in (I assumed it was crowded and they were getting things under control). We thought, “ok, cool”, “Friday night and we’re in front of the line, hey!!” . So we waited and waited and waited, but it didn’t take our higher educated minds to realize that something wasn’t right.
To figure out why we are still waiting we questioned the bouncer as to why is it that a friend of ours that arrived earlier is settled inside and we remain out here for a going on 15-minute wait period? With this unanswered question floating into oblivion the clubs promoter arrives to the velvet rope to address the 3 black beauties and two handsome black men. This heavily greased promoter informs us that if we are not on the list and not buying bottles we cannot enter the lounge. Why weren’t we told this 15 minutes ago by the big fat bouncer. The bouncer, of all people, should know the rules for the night. I concluded that this was a last minute rule, conceived when a group of black people showed up.
WTF??? Was the resounding feeling that waved through each of us. “But I called earlier and specifically asked if I needed to be put on a guest list for tonight. I was told no”, those were the words echoed from the birthday girl toward the greasy promoter. He stood there baffled, as if he knew nothing of the sort. From this point on, we had no intentions of stepping foot inside that place, even if Obama was there himself (not that they would let him in anyway). As we stood there digesting what we think is a bias situation we are proven to be correct in our assumptions. Next thing we know various groups of guys and girls begin to approach the velvet rope where we stood. Their wait time at the velvet rope compared to ours was nonexistent. These groups were welcomed directly to the front door. As they fluttered by we asked “did you guys call to be on the guest list? Are you guys buying bottles?” I didn’t get one yes, nor did I expect to. But yet every single group entered without a problem. They ushered past the promoter, who did not even pretend to check the names of guest against is BS list in hand. They weren’t even asked at the door were they buying tables or not.
Maybe it was us who were last to get the racial memo. From the time we arrived til’ our departure we were the only black people that approached that place. Never Again!! I did take the time to write this at the request of my BFF but as I write it anger fuels every keystroke. These are the situations that occur everyday. We may not encounter it on a regular basis, but it sits in this world dimly lit, showing its face of racism when the wrong person encounters the wrong places. All of this is sad yet true, but embracing sadness will send you into a downward spiral. I’d rather embrace anger. It sounds negative, but it’s anger with a positive spin! This emotion will allow me (and hopefully others) to catapult my successes in life to reflect who I am as a strong, accomplished individual and not as a minority asking to enter your four walls of racism. Fighting me only makes me want to fight harder.

Its amazing how fast a year goes by! Year after year its a task to maintain the love and intimacy in the strongest of relationships. I mean GOOD love and intimacy. That stuff ain’t easy. When you find you and your mate just going through the motions, then the relationship is motionless. Yeah, after year one you’re still kiss, kiss, but when year three approaches and starts to settle in its ON, the pot of arguments, nit picking and boredom begins to boil. This stage in the relationship is that moment of realization and decision making. Everything before the three year mark is usually that lovey dovey crap; alot of first time things for both of you. But when lovey dovey is over, are you in it for keeps? Is that relationship priority… most people will want to give an automatic yes because they dont wanna look like their wasting their time. But truth be told, when that honeymoon is over and real life invades lust a strain is created on your union. Believe it or not a potential storm is born… how we communicate is how we determine whether or not its gonna rain.
If y’all didn’t pay much attention to the statement immediately before this one read it again… I’ll wait (lol)….I’m pointing your attention to the word communicate!!!! I think every relationship in life is doomed when communication sucks. Most people will quickly think to themselves “well I talk to him”. [loud siren blares] Wrong!!!! Why don’t you listen to him? Communication is more about listening than talking, shut up for a minute and let him!! You just might save your relationship. The start of every argument is because something wasn’t said or heard prior. I think communication needs to travel throughout your entire relationship, not to say its the most important, but starting with bedroom affairs. No matter who your boning lust loses its luster eventually. So then what do you do, move on to the next dude? NO, your in it for keeps, right! Lets communicate people. what do you like, what do you want me to do, lets not do it in our bathroom lets do it in keema’s bathroom. These are the things that need to be said and heard. I’m not just gonna lay there and take buddy for the sake of just taking buddy…I wanna Bone! LMAO.
When time passes and all else stays the same, change the sex! Break out the lubes and the toys or the handcuffs with the blindfolds, tell homeboy what’s real and what’s not working. This is often the last place to communicate, but its the first reason why people cheat, SMH.
I LOL at this post because it is not everyone’s cup of tea. But truth is, no matter how you get yours in, you will get yours and he will get his… if not from you then from that friend of his. So go ahead and get yourself tangled amongst handcuffs and blindfolds or lubes and toys, but remember to clean keema’s bathroom when your done.

As you can see I didn’t mention looks, weight or the shapeliness of various companies (people) because any chick can get a dude, and vice versa. The trick is keeping that guy or gal with as minimal drama as possible.

]]>Anyways, with all that went on I had many thoughts that went undocumented. I won’t dwell on the past, but I still want to get a little bit in there. First things first, you know that I am going to address the whole Chris and Rihanna BS. That right there is serious shit! It makes you think WTF? And not just the rhetorical WTF, you want the answer. WTF happened and why the hell did she return? I know the public is split, Rihanna gets half the blame while CB gets the other half. I give all the blame to CB! That fool beat her down. I don’t care how much she provoked him or how many times she hit him first, he walked away unscathed while she was left to tend to her numerous wounds. He even bit her! What kind of bitch move is that? The only move dumber than that is her blatant stupidity. I don’t care how young or old you are, you don’t run back for another beat down, SHIT! In less than 10 days this chick, who has the world at her finger tips, runs back to this high yellow loser. Come on! If you know in your heart that you will be returning to the relationship at least give the break a good minute. Let CB know what it feels like to not have you around. Let him sweat and make him cry over the fact that you may not be coming back. Ri Ri you let him off to easy, damn! I know you have women in your life that are close to you, could they not have given you genuine advice to keep your physical and mental safe? Hmmm. I wish you luck and hope CB is worth it. This is one instance where pain does NOT equate to pleasure.
